Big Lez

You’ve seen her dance in music videos with Michael Jackson in Remember the time, Mary J. Blige in Real Love, Whitney Houston in I’m Every Woman. You were mesmerized by her silhouette during the opening credits of Living Single and she even taught Media Mogul, Oprah Winfrey how to Bankhead Bounce. Iconic Gymnast, dancer, choreographer, tv/ radio personality and actress Leslie “Big Lez” Segar sat down w/ Jazzie Belle to discuss her legendary career in entertainment and her journey from being just a round-a-way-girl from Queens, NY to back flipping and splitting all over the world living her dream! Just know success didn’t come easy. After being faced with misogyny, sexism, colorism, betrayal and favoritism that oftentimes didn’t go her way. Through it all this powerhouse persevered and continues to be a light for young black girls that dream BIG! Because if Big Lez can do it, I can do it too!
